Moros

Based on an implementation of the open source computer vision algorithmframework Charon, in combination with the modularityand the capability of the interactive workflow generation provided bythe Frapper platform, we launched the Moros Project.

Moros is a cooperation between the HCI (Heidelberg Collaboratory forImage Processing) and the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg, with focus on the development of vision-basedpostproduction tools.

These tools will cover the topics of camera calibration, pixel exactdepth estimation from single or multiple cameras as well as parallaxediting, matchmoving, stereo- and temporal rotoscoping and 3D reconstruction from movie clips. Our goal is to enable creative minds to explore the possibilities of state-of-the art computer vision technologies.
